This letter congrats the President of Peru keeps his job from impeachment vote

Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski survived an attempt by congress to remove him from office as lawmakers fell short of the two-thirds majority required on 22 December 2017. After the president’s comments, the legislature began debating whether the charges warrant removing Kuczynski as president. The measure finally came to a vote with 78 voting to remove and 19 against.

Kuczynski told Congress he was innocent of any “moral incapacity” charges, while apologizing for not being more attentive to business issues.

“But that doesn’t make me corrupt.… What is at play here is not the issue of removing a president, but a democracy,” Kuczynski said.

Despite his survival, Mr Kuczynski remains politically weak. His party has 17 seats in the 130-seat Peruvian Congress while Ms Fujimori, who narrowly lost to him in last year’s election, has 71. If he wants to see out his term he will need to do more to reach out to other political forces.

Pedro Pablo Kuczynski:

This letter congrats the President of Peru keeps his job from impeachment vote. The Alliance would like to send a US$1 Land Certificate as a friendship token if President of Peru would join and work with the Alliance after his presidency life. Our support to political giants would continue as this is one objective of the Alliance to help those who face political persecution.
