We were honoured to have H.E. Mr. Kjell Magne Bondevik, former Prime Minister of Norway and President of the Oslo Center visiting the Alliance’s Office in Hong Kong on December 18, 2015, and attending the reception ceremony for the USD 300,000 donation from the Alliance to the Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights.

We appreciate that The Oslo Center and the Alliance share the same vision of promoting world peace and were impressed by the peace work of the Oslo Center. The Alliance is making the sponsorship to the Center for two years (2016 and 2017), each of them with USD 150,000, a total of USD 300,000, to support its international peace work.

A meeting was held with Mr. Bondevik before the donation reception ceremony.  Mr. Sunny Wong, Executive Chairman of the Alliance, presented an update of the recent activities and achievements of the Alliance.  The Alliance is going to establish the First Ladies Association and organize its first fundraising event in Paris, France between April and July 2016, to raise charitable funding for the restoration of Syria and its women and children.  We have invited the First Lady of U.S. Mrs. Michelle Obama to be the first Chairperson of this Association; a respectful lady from Russia as recommended by President Vladimir Putin to be the President; a respectful lady from France as recommended by President François Hollande to be the Vice-President; the First Lady of U.K. Prime Minister to be the Vice-Chairman and a respectful lady from Germany as recommended by Chancellor Angela Merkel to be the Deputy Director. The Alliance’s Executive Vice Chairman, Mrs. Jennifer Wong, would be the Director. Besides, we have also invited the First Lady of Japanese Prime Minister to be the Vice-President; the First Ladies of Egypt and Mexico as the Deputy Directors.  We are inviting the First Ladies from different countries, as well as respectful ladies from the different monarchies all over the world, and a respectful lady as recommended by Pope Francis, to join this First Ladies Association and its first fundraising event. We believe the event would be a great success and could raise a substantial amount of funding to help the underprivileged. Mr. Bondevik highly appreciated the idea of the First Ladies Association, as the soft power of all these influential ladies would definitely bring good changes to this world.

Mr. Wong also introduced our recent proposals sent to Russia, the U.S. and the leading European countries, for establishing “The Restoration of Syria and Economic Development and Aid Center” for rebuilding Syria, after the peaceful settlement of the crisis. The Alliance will lead on the recovery and economic projects in Syria with a number of world leaders.  We expect the cost for the restoration would reach 200 billion euros.  We have invited former U.S. President George W. Bush to be the Chief Commander for the projects, President Vladimir Putin of Russia as the Honorary Director, President Barack Obama as the Honorary Chief Adviser, former U.S. Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice as the CEO; and British Prime Minister David Cameron, French President François Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel as the Honorary Presidents to speed up the restoration process. Other world leaders who have made contribution in the peace work will also be invited as the Vice-Presidents.  In addition, Mr. Wong also highlighted the Alliance’s recent “US$1 land” initiative. The Alliance has been sending letters of cooperation to different countries all over the world, proposing to sell a piece of land from the special economic zones on the Kuril Islands or Crimea or Vladivostok for US$1 to the First Lady, or a charitable organization/foundation or the tourism board of the countries, to establish a five-star hotel or other businesses in tourism. We have also sent this proposal to the monarchies in Europe, including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church. We are delighted to receive the positive replies from different countries and monarchies.

Mr. Bondevik commended on the Alliance’s continuous effort in promoting world peace and its development work as led by Mr. Sunny Wong.  His Excellency is also interested in participating in some of the world peace development projects of the Alliance, such as our working proposals with North Korea, and is looking forward to exploring further cooperation opportunities between the Alliance and the Oslo Center.  Mr. Bondevik once again expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the Alliance for the donation and great support to the Oslo Center, as well as our hospitality for his visit to Hong Kong.  In addition, Mr. Bondevik has extended his invitation to Mr. Sunny Wong, the Executive Chairman of the Alliance, for attending the 10th Anniversary of the Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights which will be held in May 2016.  Once again, we would like to express our thanks to Mr. Bondevik for his visit to the Alliance and his kind invitation. We look forward to having further cooperation with Mr. Bondevik and the Oslo Center in our international peace work and creating a better world.
